Trisaetum 2007 Riesling Willamette Valley

trisaetum-riesling-2007.jpg

In the glass, the Trisaetum 2007 Riesling Willamette Valley (11.5%) was a light yellow hay color with tints of green on the edges. On the nose, there was the slight petrol signature along with wet stone, minerals, and sweet honey suckle.

Flavors of honey, melon and tangy fruit predominated with a sweet and sour finish that was a bit too cloying and viscous for my taste. I wasn't captivated with this Oregon riesling and found it's sweet/sour flavor profile and texture a bit off-putting.

At $25, I would pass on getting another bottle of this wine.
